He was so helpful even the knew we’re getting multiple bids. Guy and Brian, the technicians, were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely nice and very respectful. Randy's came out to remove all living wiring from a wall that was being remodeled. I paid $75 for the service call and... around $300 for the removal of one outlets, which they said was the only live wire in the wall.When my contractor came out, they removed the wall and found an additional live wire that Randy's had missed. My basement is unfinished and there was obviously a junction box they did not disconnect.I called Randy's and talked to a live person (which was awesome). They were able to come out again and fix the issue they missed. I was charged another $75 service fee, plus $1700 to remove the live wire and reroute and rewire it. I would have not paid them again, but we needed the work done so our contractor could continue with the remodel.I can't recommend them because they did not do the job right the first time and I had to pay twice for the service charge (along with a premium for their services). On top of that, their prices are excessively high. I recommend getting quotes from other companies before considering Randy's. I was shocked to find out their pricing was more than double what other similar qualified electricians were charging.The photos show the obvious wire they missed in the middle of the wall and the junction box in the basement.read more

As promised, we received a call from Richard 30 minutes before his arrival during the 2-hour appointment window. Branden showed up within the scheduled time block and called 1/2 hour prior to arriving. He was very professional and... very knowledgeable. After I explained the problem, he explained exactly what he planned to do and how much it would cost. He also explained a couple of upgrades to our system we may want to consider doing sometime based on the age of our house but never tried to push us to do them now like some companies do. He completed the work quickly with outstanding workmanship. He pulled the permit and the company set up inspection. The cost may be a little high, I did not do any price comparison, but the quality of the work was well worth it. He tested everything when complete and cleaned everything up after the job was complete. He wore bootys to protect floor and carpet, very considerate worker. When they got here to do the project there were issues found behind the old drop tile ceiling that had been removed to prepare for lighting and drywall. I was very satisfied with the work performed. It was exactly what I needed. The technician was on time and pleasant.... I felt the price for the work (a simple swap of a toggle switch to a timer) was on the high side. I think this is in part that even when you agree to the work you still are charged the $60 travel charge on top of the quoted price for the actual work. We have received quotes from Randy's before that we thought were higher then other companies. However, with Randy's it... is one call to schedule for an electrician to come out to your house and provide you an estimate and complete the work the same day. Other companies send out an estimator and then they send out the electrician to complete the work once you have approved the price. The ease of needing to be home one time to have an estimate and the work completed immediately after is great! They take great pride in their work, they are knowledgeable of the local code requirements and do a great quality job all with a smile and great patients. It is well worth the small extra expense of hiring the right company, with great employees. I can't even describe the joy I am feeling after Chris and Jordan fixed my problem. Randy's was the LAST in a long line... of electricians that have have come to help, but save yourself some time and call them FIRST. The two fellas that arrived right on time were outstanding. We walked through my issues and they listened well and... asked pertinent questions all the while dealing gracefully with my German Shorthaired Pointer puppy jumping all over them. Sold house and buyer's requested an outlet be replaced by a qualified electrician. Called Randy's based on radio ads... and stated I just needed an outlet replaced. Everyone was super friendly and the electrician was able to get it complete in under 30 minutes.It cost $487 to replace an outlet. I'm sure Randy's does great electrical work and you get what you pay for, but nearly $500 to replace one outlet is high. Would recommend looking for alternatives for your more simple and straight forward electrical jobs.read more

I had called this company for a very simple electrical job at a residential location. I only needed an outdoor outlet... put on and some help rewiring some old fluorescent tube lights to the new LED lights. I was told that there would be a minimum charge to come out and it would have applied to the electrical services needed. I said my request was very simple so could you give me a general idea what this would cost? I was told we don't do it that way. I said well some companies have told me it's $250 for the first hour and a trip charge in that is outside of my budget. I can't get into quoting with you as we don't work that way. I proceeded to say back to them, that I don't want to pay someone a trip charge and then find out that they're on site fee is extremely high. What I was asking for was very simple and just a ballpark quote and they refused so under no circumstance do I hire anyone who doesn't give me a general idea of what a price is.read more

I called Randy’s Electric to install an underground electric line from the house circuit breaker box outside to a sport... court light that is 50 yards from the house. I was able to schedule an appointment for an electrician visit promptly. The scheduler confirmed the appointment the day before and day of the appointment via phone call and text. The electrician, Branden, arrived right on time. He examined the job requirements immediately and asked if we had any other projects he could complete at the same time. Since we are installing a hot tub in the fall, we need a 240 v connection on an outside deck. This was added to the project along with two other 110 v outdoor outlets. During the 2 day installation process, Branden discovered a whole house low voltage situation which he showed me. Branden explained the effects of low voltage on air conditioning condensers and our pool pump plus suggested I call X-Cel Energy about that. These guys did a great job on some high and low wiring voltage work for me for my Nest Door Bells. As the owner of a... 100 year old house, I appreciated the ingenuity in helping me get this installed properly!
