We’re glad you asked! Check out what it looks like to work with.
Every home is unique in the way it is designed and wired. We send a licensed Electrician to your home to see and discuss your project with you so they can provide the most accurate options. Our clients find value in the way we operate with our project-based pricing rather than an hourly rate. This works in our client’s favor as you’ll know the price ahead of time and the cost won’t change if the job takes longer than expected!
As a local, family-owned company, we have Electricians on our team that live across the metro. Each of our Electricians takes their van home at night, allowing them to serve their local neighborhoods. The Electrician coming to your home will be local, and you will receive a photo and bio of him via text and email as well as a call from him when he is on his way.
The Service Call brings a licensed Electrician to you to discuss your project and provide expert recommendations specific to your home. We come prepared to start the work on the same day and we provide a lifetime guarantee on our workmanship because we value getting the job done right the first time!
Thanks for asking! We are working on a list of trusted partners to assist you in all areas of your home. Check out our Guarantee page here and read through our list of questions to ask your next contractor.
Home Wiring Services
Knob and tube wiring is an outdated method of wiring often found in older homes. While it will keep the lights on, it puts your home at risk for an electrical fire. It’s important to have knob and tube systems inspected regularly, and to consider upgrading your home’s wiring to meet modern standards/code.
If your home is 30 years old or older, or if you’re noticing problems such as sparking from outlets, hot outlets or switches, or frequently tripping breakers, you may need a new home electrical panel. An outdated electrical panel has the potential to be dangerous and should be evaluated by a licensed Electrician.
If you are noticing some of these problems, it’s probably time to call for home wiring services:
- Sparking from outlets
- Hot switch plates or outlets
- Buzzing sound
- Need for many extension cords
- Dimming or flickering lights
- Frequent tripped breakers
Home Safety Services
If you have electronics or appliances in your home that you want protected, you need whole-house surge protection. All it takes is one nearby lightning strike to burn out these important items in your home, and a surge protector is an easy way to get peace of mind.
At Randy’s Electric, we want your home to be safe, and that means having properly installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. We recommend installing one near all bedrooms or other sleeping areas, as well as at least one on each floor of your home. If your kitchen is far from your sleeping areas, install one near the kitchen. Our team can help you determine where you need these devices for your family’s protection and to meet regulations.
Randy’s Electric offers a long list of home safety services. Some of these include:
- Installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Installing security lighting
- Installing home surge protectors
- Performing home safety electrical audits
